Shop for ingredients at a traditional Korean market and learn how to cook at the OME Cooking Lab for a unique experience. Program Information (approx. 3 hours) Food market tour with a chef (about 1 hour from 10am) We will take a tour of Gyeongdong Market, the largest food market in Korea, to see and choose seasonal ingredients. Korean Home Cooking Class (approximately 1.5 hours) Learn three seasonal Korean dishes and try your hand at making them with our chef. Monday, Tuesday Bibimbap Class (Bulgogi Bibimbap, Kimchi Jeon, Seasonal Soup) Wednesday and Thursday Korean Home Cooking Class (Bulgogi Japchae, Kimchi Jeon, Buchimgae, Seasonal Soup) Friday Kimchi Class (2 types of kimchi, kimchi jeon (pancake), stewed beef or tofu, seasonal soup) Menu and ingredients are subject to change depending on the season. Includes side dishes and rice wine tasting. Guests are responsible for preparing their own food. All menus can be converted to halal and vegetarian options. I am a Korean food consultant, cookbook author, and chef instructor at the OME Culinary Institute. I have a Master's degree in Traditional Korean Foods and am currently pursuing a PhD in Culinary Science and Restaurant Management. He has taught Korean cuisine in more than 30 countries.
